TAP! Junior – Fun Tap Dancing for Kids!

Looking for a fun, creative after-school activity for your child? Our Kids Tap Class is the perfect mix of movement, music, and confidence-building – all taught in a welcoming, supportive environment.

 

This class is designed for Years 3–8 and is ideal for beginners or those wanting to build on their tap skills. There are no exams – the focus is on enjoyment, expression, and learning at your child’s own pace.

Charlie and her team hold enhanced DBS certificates and have safe guarding practices in place.

The classes are booked on a half termly basis and are £5 a class, under the courses section on TEAM UP

 

Class Details

Wednesdays - 3:45–4:30pm (arrive from 3:30pm to get ready and enjoy a quick after-school snack)

At the 1st Market Harborough Scout Hut, Coventry Road, LE16 9BS

 

What You’ll Need

Tap shoes are required. If you’d like help sourcing a second-hand pair, Charlie is happy to assist.

 

Spaces are limited to keep the class fun and engaging for every child.

MEET THE TEAM

Charlie (Your Tap Teacher Extraordinaire!)

Charlie is the bubbly boss of TAP! Junior – the one who starts every class with a massive smile and turns noisy feet into pure magic! She's been tapping since she could walk (okay, maybe a bit later), and she loves nothing more than seeing kids light up when they nail a new step or just have a giggle making epic tap sounds.

Fun facts about Charlie:

• Favourite tap move: The shuffle-ball-change (because it's speedy and silly!)

• Likes: Loud music, sparkly tap shoes, ice cream on hot days, and making new friends in class

• Secret superpower: Turning shy tappers into confident noisemakers

• Motto: "If you're not making noise, you're not tapping hard enough!"

Jeneta (Our Awesome Assistant & Tap Cheerleader!)

Jeneta is Charlie's right-hand tapper – the super-energetic helper who high-fives everyone, cheers the loudest, and makes sure no one misses a beat (or a laugh!). She's got endless energy and always knows the perfect silly face to make when things get wobbly.

Fun facts about Jeneta:

• Favourite thing in class: Watching the kids discover they can make REALLY loud taps!

• Likes: Dancing with props, colourful leggings, high-energy playlists, and group hugs

• Secret superpower: Spotting when someone needs a little extra encouragement and turning it into fun

• Motto: "Tap like nobody's watching... but we ARE, and it's awesome!"
